‘Call Ya Mum’ is a typographic installation that intends to remind people to take time to communicate with their family. The project was carried out through a series of lino-printed post-it-notes and a larger scale banner. This project was inspired by my experience studying abroad, having to consciously communicate and navigate time differences with my Mum. The aim of this project was to provide a personal reminder to the public to foster and maintain their relationships. The public engaged with this work throughout the course of a day, by taking the post-it-notes, and hopefully calling their Mum’s.
